A Message From Local 902's President
Dear Brothers and Sisters,
As we have all sadly learned, lost are our Brothers, Boston Fire Lieutenant Edward Walsh and Boston Fire Fighter Michael Kennedy, who bravely fought the nine alarm fire yesterday in Boston. Our prayers go out to their families and loved ones, and also to their Brothers of Engine 33 and the Boston Fire Department. We are also thinking of our Brother Fire Fighters who were injured during yesterday's fire. Let us, also, not forget the Brothers and Sisters we lose, unfortunately too often, to the ailments they suffer from due to exposure in the line of duty, including the Active Duty Death of Medford Fire Fighter Arthur Moscufo. Although as Fire Fighters we are acutely aware that at any moment our line of work could take us from our families, it is a painful reminder of our vulnerability when shocked by the tragic deaths of our Bravest.
As President of Malden Fire Fighters Union Local 902, I just wanted to remind our members of how proud I am to work alongside you and our Brothers and Sisters throughout our profession. Keep safe, stay strong, and please pray for the families of our fallen Brothers.
Fraternally,
George Romvos, President
Malden Fire Fighters Union Local 902
